This old empire dresser started breaking down, but we fixed her right up again. It’s probably an empire style revival, technically, which would put it at the same age as our Victorian (late 1800s). I found it in an antiques store in Wisconsin just right around the time we moved in almost a decade ago, and it has been in this spot ever since, holding my undies. 🩲 And more! That would be a lot of undies if that was all that was inside. #thelovelyvictorian

Oh, just casually looking down and smiling candidly as one does. My left ear is the one with a dainty hoop in the helix and a sparkly new flat, and this one has the matching three lobe piercings. I usually balance the asymmetry with a cuff at the conch like I did today.

I think my newest piercing looks like a sparkly star. ✨ I got a flat to complement my simple helix hoop.

It had been a long time since my last piercing (decades!) and I was nervous, but it wasn’t bad at all. Three seconds, and tolerable.
